My Inner Martha....

I have been long known to be "mini-Martha" of the Gen X set to many of my friends that have known me forever. I specificaly state "OF THE GEN X SET" because I am fluent in IKEA Swedish and have crappy housekeeping skills. I can make stuff... I can buy supplies to make stuff. I can buy house cleaning stuff.... and for the life of me I can not figure out how to use them.... I digress.

I was going to title this post "GOOD THINGS"... but thought better of it.

So.... here is my list of "SH*T THAT ROCKS!!!!"

.

  1. I am now a SUCKY KNITTER. I have been welcomed into the fabric of this great, ecclectic group of knitters (of the sucky variety) who meet 2x/month. Feels like home SUCKY SISTERS.... feels like home. Eunny, Lolly.... so can't wait to meet you! The rest of you..... I will be venturing from CHARM CITY often..... can be bribed with a trip to Alexandria or All About Yarn....
  2. May-belle, the green PS Sock Yarn, is almost finished. I am still in love. Green is the color of all good things......and Lollygirl has left the building (literally.... today.... INTERNATIONAL ORDERS leave on Friday)
  3. MOUSE... graphic goddess...... is doing some SH*T THAT ROCKS! T-shirt style... stay tuned!EDIT: http://www.cafepress.com/knitblogger1 Here it is...OMG! I bought one already!
  4. Elvis Costello , D and I have a date for Saturday evening. A threesome...... hmm.... well... more like a couple thousand of us at the Meyerhoff. Loverly.... Ginga and her D are coming too. No children to be seen (or heard from.. means my mom is coming.......breathe. BREATHE.)
  5. The cowboy is doing great in his THOMAS room. Will not leave the bed in the morning until I come in the room. Love that! He reads quietly until Mama drags her big tail into the room.
  6. I am heading to the Bronx Zoo soon. I love the zoo! Should be fun to see what the cowboy does.
  7. My copy of Mason-Dixon Knitting is in route... I can't wait to see it!
  8. SHEEP AND WOOL. Enough said.
  9. Knitbloggers Ball..... ditto. Please email me asap to reserve a spot. I am thinking dinner at PF CHANGS or the like? Maybe some libations after???
  10. SUPERWASH........ in the works. Be patient. Mama knows what you want.

EDIT: I am opening up 5 more spaces to the PS Sock Club. I have had requests and can't say no. (Well... you asked VERY nicely!)

Email me for your spot. First paid first served!

Great list! Hey when are you heading to the Bronx Zoo? Any free time on that trip?

If you're thinking Chinese food, rather than PF Chang's (far too noisy), then why not Jesse Wong's Hong Kong? It's right across from the Mall, near Clyde's and Copeland's....
